Stamp duty exemption/concessionWe can help you claim your NSW stamp duty exemption or concession, just like we have helped many of our other clients claim their exemption or concession. Eligible first home buyers are: 1. exempt from paying stamp duty on home purchases up to $500,000.00 in value. For purchase of properties betwen $500,000 and $600,000.00 in value eligible first home buyers gain concessions on stamp duty. The stamp duty exemption applies to purchases of existing properties where exchange of contracts occurs on or before 31 December 2011. The exemption/concession also applies to the purchase of new properties where contracts are exchanged for the purchase of those properties on or after 1 January 2012 (subject to further government legislation), and 2. exempt from paying stamp duty on vacant land purchases up to $300,000.00 in value. For purchase of vacant land between $300,000 and $450,000.00 in value eligible first home buyers gain concessions on stamp duty. You may save up to about $17,990 if you are an eligible first home buyer.
